How do I add contacts to a campaign requiring a "trackedWeblink"
Some of the campaigns available in RunGopher such as "Simple Web Promotion" allow you to send out a website address as part of the message, these are referred to as a "trackedWeblink". E.g.
"Hi {{firstName}}, this is <Liv> from <MyCompany> here. If you're interested, you can go into the draw for an <incentive> if you complete this survey {{trackedWeblink}}. Thanks!"
To get started adding contacts to your trackedWebLink campaign simply download the campaign template from the contact management page as shown below.
Fill in all the required fields including the "trackedWeblink" field like so:
Once you send the message the recipients will see a message like the one shown below:
"Hi Jenny, this is Liv from RunGopher here. If you're interested, you can go into the draw for an <incentive> if you complete this survey run-go.fr/Y_oGG6. Thanks!"
How does this work?
The first thing you will notice is that Rungopher changes the provided website "www.myreallycoolsite.com.au/promo" to a shortened version "run-go.fr/Y_oGG6". This not only keeps the size of the message down but also allows us to track when a website gets clicked by a participant.
How can I see who clicked the link?
From the "Manage Conversation" page click on the "View conversations" link to download the report.
Open the report in Excel and look at the "ClickCount" column to see how many times a participant has clicked on the provided link.
