Test contacts
A test contact is a contact you upload to test out the outcomes of the drafted campaign before we go live. You can add a test contact to a campaign as follows.
Go to the campaign and on the right side of the screen, press "Add contacts" under the testing segment.
Then add the contact details and
- Press the button "Add" after that
- Press the button "Send to this batch"
Below are some features of the test contacts.
- You can only add a maximum of 10 test contacts to a campaign.
- You can use the same phone number many times with no issue.
- The test conversations are priced the same way as the live ones.
- Test contacts will not appear on the home page as a campaign summary.
Live contacts
Live contacts are the recipients of your SMS campaign. Live contacts are added in much the same way as the test contacts.
Go to the campaign page, click "Add contacts" button under the live segment.
Live contacts have the below features.
- You can add up to 100,000 live contacts at a time to any campaign.
- You cannot add the same phone number multiple times as a live contact. If you do, the duplicate contact will be skipped automatically.
- The current state of live contacts will appear on the home page updates, as seen below:
